While watching the Vizconde Murder case on television last night I noticed a few irritating things…

1. When Mr. Vizconde fainted from the decision of the court to acquit the accused murderer of his family News reporters immediately rushed him with mics, lights & cameras INSTEAD of giving him room to breathe. He is an old man, a senior citizen dealing with life shattering news. The humane impulse should be to make sure he is okay not crowd him to get your scoops.

2. That grand standing mustached man who is supposed to be the leader of some justice movement supporting Mr. Vizconde. You are there supposedly to support Mr. Vizconde & yet you go straight to a press conference & do a theatrical speech on injustice INSTEAD of making sure the old man is okay first. Check his blood pressure, calm him down, take him away from the media do not use the poor old man’s case to be in the limelight to further whatever political ambition you have.

Sigh.

I know news folks want/need to bring the story to the masses citing our right to be informed BUT there must be a civilized way to cover something & not act like piranhas.
